A great day out

What’s on in The Gardens

We have a range of events on throughout our 2024 season which you can find out about below. To buy tickets you just need to purchase an entry ticket as normal through our website. Booking isn’t compulsory but time slots for castle tours can fill up on busier days.

The Gardens at Hampton Court Castle are often described as a hidden gem and there is plenty to see and do for all ages throughout the season on non-event days. We have fabulous formal gardens, a maze, sunken garden with a waterfall, a Dutch garden, expansive lawns and river walks. We also have a castle play area! A great space complete with turrets, tunnels, scramble nets and a slide – all surrounded by magnolias and some new tree carvings.

The Orangery Cafe is open daily for lunch and cakes having been given a new lease of life by a new catering company who are incorporating plenty of local produce.

Guided tours of the historic Castle will be running on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays this season. You can find out more about the castle here.

Please see the Visit Us page for opening times and prices for the gardens and Castle, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for the latest updates.

Fantastic Family Day Out  |  R Gallen, Tripadvisor We've had a thoroughly fantastic day out exploring the grounds, playing on the play equipment and watching a fab jousting show! The sunken garden looked really magical and everything was beautifully maintained. Lunch in the cafe was good.
