The Castle & Gardens

The gardens at Hampton Court Castle attract visitors from all over the country. We recommend you allocate at least two hours to explore the gardens as there is a lot to see. There are also picturesque river walks, which take 30-60 minutes to complete, and offer wonderful views of the Castle and countryside. To read more about the gardens, visit our Gardens page

Tours of the Castle offer the chance to see some of the historic rooms and take you through the history of the estate. The guided tours take around 45 minutes and are conducted by one of our team of experienced and engaging tour guides. On certain days, tours will be self-guided, and if the Castle is in use for a private function tours will not be available. To read more about the history of the Castle, visit our Castle page.

Please note that tickets for Castle tours are only available to those who have also paid to visit the gardens.

Castle tours are not available at the moment due to coronavirus restrictions.
