Spring Opening

1st April 2021 — 1st April 2021

Following the government announcement’s last month we’re excited to update everyone on our plans for the upcoming season.

We would like to say a big thank you for the support we’ve had throughout what has been a very difficult period for us all and we are really looking forward to welcoming you back to Hampton Court Castle and Gardens.

Following the government’s advice, we will be opening up in stages this year.

We are delighted to announce that our gardens and grounds are now open with the exception of the Maze and the Gothic Tower. Covid-19 precautions will be in place so that social distancing can be maintained. The Orangery Cafe will be offering a limited menu for takeaway and outside seating only. The Ice Cream Parlour and the Gift Shop will remain closed. Prepackaged ice creams are available from the Orangery Cafe.

Castle Tours will not be available to visitors initially.

We will be opening more facilities throughout the following weeks and months, in line with the government’s step system. Please keep an eye on our website, or follow us on Facebook or Instagram, for more details of any upcoming events as they are announced.

When are you open?
We are open everyday 10.30am – 5pm.

Do I need to pre-book?
Visitors do not need to pre-book tickets or time slots. There is ample space for queueing and we ask that visitors maintain social distancing.

Can I pay by cash?
We are only taking card payments and encouraging contactless payments wherever possible.

Are your toilets open?
Yes. The facilities are cleaned regularly throughout the day and hand-sanitising points are also available across the grounds.

Can I bring my dog?
Only assistance dogs are permitted.

Is the Orangery Café open?
We are pleased to be able to open the Orangery Café, albeit with a limited menu and outdoor seating only at the minute.

We would welcome feedback from visitors about your experience at Hampton Court Castle at this time. Please speak to a member of staff during your visit or email us on visit@hamptoncourtcastle.co.uk.
