Half Term Fun – The Old Bear’s Nature Trail

The Old Bear’s Nature Trail is a great way for families to explore the gardens!
Collect your trail worksheet and pencil from the Visitor’s Centre when you arrive, before meeting the Old Bear sculpture in the Kitchen Garden, ready to start! From here, help him find the friends he’s made on the estate – all of these beautifully carved animal sculptures are either native to the estate or known to live on sections of the River Lugg. There are also eight ceramic rubbing plates for you to discover and spaces for you to collect them all on the back of your trail map.
Normal admission prices and opening hours. Castle tours are also available on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
